Deadly Class S1 E1 - Interesting, I quite liked it, though I do think these shows that are doing the 80's thing really ough'ta learn that we know it's the 80's you don't have to keep ramming it down our throats every 5 minutes with an era song.
A reality show based in Australia. Contestants visit each other Instant Hotels, rating their overall experience afterward. The "twist" on the formula is that the owners also get the opportunity to rate their guests. Damn these catchy reality TV shows to hell!
Doctor Who S11 - Man has this show gone down the shitter. Worst Season in this reboot. Giant pile of badly written, badly acted garbage with only one slightly decent episode. Not suprised there's rumours of the new showrunner possibly getting the axe.
Last night on GINX (DSTV CHL 240) they had the history of StarCraft and was an interesting program.
I am still playing the original StarCraft and I learned stuff I never knew.
The first original Blizzard approved expansion was the third expansion – Broodwars, which improved the game 100 fold, not just new units but better graphics and details. Also brought balance to the game.
The tactic that was the death of countless online / LAN players was the Zerg Rush….the Zerg player could build / train 7 Zerklings even before the other players had time to build barracks. In this early stages of the game these seven Zerklings could defeat any Terrain of Protoss army. This tactic swung the game in favor of the Zerg players.
The first expansion was Starforce / Steller Forces depends in the country you found yourself in, however this was not sanctioned by Blizzard and the developer had to recall and destroy all the copies. If you have a copy that is still in mint condition, you may be sitting on a gold mine…
Then came StarCraft Resurrection, which was not received well by players as the campaign missions was watered down and too easy.
Umbrella Academy - Got through all 10 eps this weekend and I loved nearly every second. Only around episode 7 did I feel that things were a little drawn out, but overall 10 episodes felt the right length, unlike the Marvel shows which felt like a six-episode show stretched to 10 or 13. Didn't like the cliffhanger, but simply because it means we have to wait until S2, but overall a funny, quirky and at times melodramatic, in just the right doses, superhero show. Very impressed by what they accomplished.
Doctor Who S11 – The first female doctor…I was surprised and I enjoyed it. Jodie Whittaker makes for an enjoyable Doctor, must say much better than Peter Capaldi.
The session was short, only 10 episodes and each episode had its own storyline with no real story line that continued to the end like previous sessions.
Also all new villains and creatures. The Doctors’ companions plays a much bigger part in this series compared to the previous ones and each got a bigger back story they focussing on.
They also focusing more on social issues in this series.
