Saw this video last night.

His reactions and all that don't add up, so wanted to see if you guys think this is real or not.

Might be true.

Based on the raggie sharks I've dived with the sharks actions seem natural.

Comparing the shark in the video to great white pics found through Google, I've decided it's probably a fairly young great white and probably hasn't seen very many humans in it's life.

The shark swims up to see what this strange flailing thing is and after realizing it's just a boring human it leaves.


The video should probably be renamed to "Man pisses himself in fear of random friendly shark in Sydney Harbour"

Sharks aren't known to just attack living things because they want to.

1. Surfers etc. usually get bitten(to shred) by sharks due to sharks thinking is a seal etc. And it has to be hungry. Otherwise it pretty much ignores it.

2. The most great white sharks attacks have been at the Australian coast lines and South African(warmer) coast lines.

3. Given that it's a harbour. And not a beach. There will very little chances of there being shark nets due to it being a harbour and not a beach.

I don't know if this video is legit. But the shark's reaction is pretty normal. It wasn't hungry so it didn't pay much attention to him. Or it's just your friendly harbour patrol sharks keeping Sidney's harbour safe from illegal immigrants, evil sharks and New Zealanders
