@Knight While it has a SP campaogn, sorta, it's primarily a MP game so I think it does need an online connection. Will let you know when I boot it up later.

You play Adam Jensen, an ex-SWAT specialist who's been handpicked to oversee the defensive needs of one of America's most experimental biotechnology firms. Your job is to safeguard company secrets, but when a black ops team breaks in and kills the very scientists you were hired to protect, everything you thought you knew about your job changes

Badly wounded during the attack, you have no choice but to become mechanically augmented and you soon find yourself chasing down leads all over the world, never knowing who you can trust. At a time when scientific advancements are turning athletes, soldiers and spies into super enhanced beings, someone is working very hard to ensure mankind's evolution follows a particular path.

You need to discover where that path lies. Because when all is said and done, the decisions you take, and the choices you make, will be the only things that can change it.

FEATURES

A divided near-future: discover a time of great technological advancement, but also a time of chaos and conspiracy. Mechanical augmentations of the human body have divided society between those who can afford them, and those who can't. Opposing forces conspire from the shadow to control the destiny of mankind: a human revolution is coming.

A perfect mix of action and role-play: the game uniquely combines action-packed close-quarter takedowns with intense shooting, offering a vast array of character augmentations and upgrades for the many weapons at your disposal. Unlock new abilities and increase your stealth, social, hacking or combat skills: the game rewards all styles of play and approaches. Determine how you want your character to evolve, based on how you want to play the game.

Choices and consequences: shoot your way through your enemies, sneak up behind them without being traced, hack systems to retrieve crucial information, or use your social skills to extract information from key characters - there are always choices, multiple approaches, multiple paths and multiple tools at your disposal. Choose your playing style and face the consequences of your actions: you decide how the story unfolds.

Will get the Standard Edition, don't know what's in the other editions but standard will be good enough for me.

See it is getting some very good reviews however after watching the reviews and seeing the game in action I'll be waiting for a 2nd hand copy. Just didn't do much to make me excited maybe if it was more 3rd person view then I'd of got it day 1.

Am sure it's going to be a great game though

Cant wait - Having sleepless nights - need scifi epicness. BTW guys Augmented edition is almost sold out. BOOK YOURS ASAP

Now I have to decide my playstyle in my first play through. Stealth, action or conversationalist. I usually play the later as it changes the character dynamics quite a bit...

Placed my order for the Augmented edition

Not that more expensive than the standard one and the in game stuff you get is wicked, looking forward to playing with the longsword!

Also this games art is amazing, so going through the artbook and watching the making will be a pleasure.

Absolutely awesome game and the augmented edition is very nice.

Only gripe i have about the augmented edition is the "artbook" it's actually a design concepts book which is nice too flip through but its not that great, especially considering the amazing artwork this game has.

The rest of the augmented edition is wicked though. Cool soundtrack, the making of is very well done and the motion comic was awesome! The box itself is extremely nice aswell, not just all the stuff thrown into a flimsy cardboard box, nice texture, weight everything. It's the kind of box you want displayed.

As for the game damn it's fun, hard but fun. Jensen is a total bad ass lol and the characters overall feel a-little cheesy but it lends to the appeal of them.

What i really like in this is the conversation choices, find them done far better than Mass Effect's and once you get that augment too read people's profiles it becomes very addictive lol. Choice is this game also really feels like you have an effect on the way things go.

AI has some serious aim even on normal lol, cant rush in at all you just get owned in 2 seconds. Had more headshots landed on me in the 2 hours than i have in many other FPS titles the entire play through.

Upgrading your Augments is also very well done, how you upgrade determines the paths in the games you will take and how you ultimately play it out.

Only issue i have with the game itself is the fact that when your in first person and you look down you have no body, it really irritates me that they couldn't even do the lower-half. At least when your in cover you get a third person/over the shoulder view.

Honestly i would of preferred this as an over the shoulder or third person overall but it's still highly enjoyable.

So yeah anyone wanting a damn good action game dont hesiste on getting this, and the replay value is nuts

Although I've only played 1 - 2 hours...the game's graphics feels a bit cheaply done...especially cut scenes. I haven't gotten as far as woofels yet in the game...but thank goodness I read his post, gives me back the need to play on as the gameplay sounds good. I do agree that the game would have been way better in 3rd person view, but the fps game play is actually done very well...stealth is awesome and the cqc take downs are great.

My internet is down, so I couldn't DL any of my content, so I'll restart the game once my internet is back up and play more to get a better feel of the game.

^^
I also though the graphics were a-bit cheaply done at first but it's actually the style the game is done in with that Dark/Gold glow to everything and the dirty look.

Once you actually run around abit and start looking there are alot of little details, and when you get to actual all out CG cutscenes it's a thing of beauty lol.

Played the game solidly for about 7 hours yesterday, finished everything in the first city hub.

Also you dont have too restart, just enter the code and you will get your stuff, the credits are already built in when you start the game, the code just unlocks the missions and the weapons.

Iv mainly been playing through on stealth, so all my augment upgrades have gone too hacking, stealth and smooth talking people
