I probably would not tune in, 95% of what what people find is posted in the forums anyway. There are so many youtube channels and podcasts already who are geared towards this sort of news.

But that's just me, if it proves popular enough then it could be cool.

I think it would be cool to have something local for a change. But ya will be tough to pull off I think.

I would agree that its hard pulling off a good podcast.. nothing some good editing can't fix

i've listened to plenty of local gaming podcasts. they werent amazing or anything but its been done before. if you have the time and the patience i dont see why not. might listen to it depending on whats being discussed

I would be super interested. It's worth a shot, it's easier now than ever before and I can't imagine that you would need to invest all that much. You have a platform, an audience and hosts. Yes!

I actually kinda like the idea of an AWX Podcast.

It would be a cool way to discuss topics that are on the forums a bit more and a cool way for AWX to reach a bit of an extended audience.

My only problem with this is that I listen a a shedload of podcasts already and am way behind in all of them. heck I just got around to the Eurogamer podcast from last E3 this morning. The field is pretty damn crowded so to get an audience these days is going to take something very, very special.

I'd be quite keen. Plenty of people are playing/watching a lot of different things so Corrosive's idea of submitting questions might be the best bet for ensuring the content people want to hear is covered.

Also it would be really nice to hear opinions from people that enjoy games that otherwise get little media attention or that someone might feel get unjustly slammed. With the rising cost of games, it might also be a nice way to advertise a product beyond review scores.

I guess that determining content, getting people together (in person or over Skype) and editing are a lot more work than one might think.

That would be really cool.

I think in order for something like this to be successful it would need a lot of local flavor for lack of a better term.

I am going to be hearing people discussing games months before the AWX guys would even get to get their hands on copies of games/anime, with the bulk of what ever questions I had about it answered there.

SA get's stuff so late a lot of the time, just repeating old news is redundant. So for me for something like this to be successful it would need to cover the local scene of things a-bit more like gaming tournaments, events, pokemon cards, magic, awx events etc...

What if the forum guys get involved? Invited to share their two cents on current affairs and games?

Hmmmm a debate between some of the forum memebers could be pretty damn funny haahahaha Throw Sinn & Dp together and see what happens hahaha.

Guess it really comes down to the content, if it's interesting enough then people will listen. I just don't think a news type show is going to pull any listeners/watchers.

As long as AWX does not monetize the videos should not be a problem. Personally I would rather see a Youtube channel than a Podcast as I don't own a single piece of apple equipment nor will I ever =p

Plus I detest iTunes with a passion.
